The Law Society has obtained a court order prohibiting Loraine Lee from practicing law and from holding herself out to be a lawyer. Lee, formerly of the Vehicle Sales Authority, had misrepresented herself as being a member of the Law Society and she engaged in unauthorized practice of law, including by acting as counsel for the VSA in regulatory proceedings.
By a consent order of Madam Justice Jackson issued October 6, 2021, Lee is permanently prohibited from appearing as a lawyer, drawing, revising or settling legal documents and matters, giving legal advice and from representing that she is qualitied or entitled to engage in the practice of law, until she becomes a member in good standing of the Law Society.
