Vancouver – The Law Society has suspended Vancouver lawyer Laird Russell Cruickshank after he admitted to allegations related to failure to comply with various trust accounting rules, breaches of undertakings and failure to remit GST, PST and employee source deductions.

Cruickshank has admitted to the allegations and a hearing panel has agreed to disciplinary action in the form of a one-month suspension, commencing on May 15, 2012, and costs in the amount of $8,500. Written reasons for the decision of the panel will be provided in due course.

During Cruickshank’s suspension, Ronald Huinink has agreed to manage Cruickshank’s practice so that his clients will have continuous access to the legal services they require. Clients of Cruickshank can contact Huinink at 604.688.3933 for assistance.
