Vancouver – On April 11, the Law Society’s Board of Governors, known as Benchers, will be deciding whether to approve the proposed faculty of law at Trinity Western University for the purposes of the Law Society’s admission program.

In the interests of maintaining an open and transparent decision-making process, the April 11 meeting will be made available online via webcast.

Those interested in monitoring the proceedings may log on to http://new.livestream.com/mediaco/lsbc041114. The live stream will commence at 8:30 am PDT/11:30 am EDT. After the meeting, the webcast will be archived on the Law Society website.

Following the decision, the Law Society’s President, Jan Lindsay, QC, will make a statement at 2:00 pm on the second floor of the Law Society building located at 845 Cambie Street, in Vancouver.

The Law Society of British Columbia regulates the more than 11,000 practising lawyers in the province, setting and enforcing standards of professional conduct that ensure the public is well-served by a competent, honourable legal profession.
