Vancouver – The Law Society of BC and the Jack Webster Foundation invite reporters, editors and producers to participate in their free annual Law and the Media Workshop on Wednesday, June 22 at the Law Society of BC, 845 Cambie Street, 9th floor. Doors open at 5:30 pm and presentations begin promptly at 6:15 pm.
This is not a press conference, but rather an opportunity for journalists to enhance their coverage of legal stories by boosting or refreshing their knowledge of law as it relates to journalism. This year’s workshop is entitled, Socially sound, legally smart: the legal implications for journalism of an on-line age. Presentations will cover everything from tweeting in the courtroom to pulling photos off Facebook for stories. Panellists are:
