The Prime Minister of Canada has opened the process to select the next justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, to fill the vacancy created by the upcoming retirement of Chief Justice Beverley McLachlin.
The Independent Advisory Board for Supreme Court of Canada Judicial Appointments is encouraging qualified candidates to apply through the Office of the Commissioner of Federal Judicial Affairs. The deadline to file an application is September 15 , 2017.
