As students resume their studies remotely as part of the province’s COVID-19 response, the Law Society is expanding its annual secondary school essay contest by adding a topic that draws from our current, extraordinary circumstances..

Secondary students are invited to submit their essay on how the rule of law is affected by a global pandemic and the winning essay and runner-up will receive cash prizes of $1,000 and $500. The new topic and prizes expand the essay contest and are in addition to prizes for the top essays on government and corporate monitoring of social media and the rule of law that was previously announced.
