The Law Society has authorized two new proposals from law firms and individuals who are not lawyers that will improve the availability of employment law services to those who cannot afford a lawyer. The approved proposals, submitted jointly by the law firms and service providers, are:

The scope of legal services that Rabinovitch and Burnett are authorized to provide as innovation sandbox pilots are set out in “no-action” letters that are available on the Law Society’s website. The no-action letters also include provisions not to initiate action against the law firms for facilitating the delivery of authorized services. The pilots will be monitored by the Law Society through regular reporting.
