Lawyer Zao (Aidan) Huang has admitted to conduct unbecoming the legal profession and agreed to a three month suspension that will begin on November 1, 2021.
Huang was criminally charged with two counts of assault, one count of uttering a threat and one count of assault with a weapon or an imitation weapon. Following the criminal charges, he attended counselling sessions and has expressed remorse to the victims. The charges have been withdrawn.
The Law Society’s Discipline Committee Chair accepted a consent agreement between the Law Society and Huang that set out the three month suspension.
