The Law Society’s Indigenous Intercultural Course (IIC) materials are now available to the public, free of charge.

The IIC is an educational course designed for British Columbia lawyers, to increase their awareness and understanding of Indigenous laws and legal traditions, the history of Indigenous-Crown relations, and the history and legacy of colonial laws and policies that sought to eliminate Indigenous rights, resources, languages, cultures and institutions. Since its formal introduction to practising lawyers in January, a number of stakeholder organizations, law firm employees and members of the public have expressed interest in also being able to access the course materials.

Anyone wishing to review the IIC materials, which include links to educational videos and supplementary materials, may do so by downloading the PDF from our website.
