News Release
January 14, 2022

Lawyer Katrina Sriranpong has admitted to professional misconduct and will serve a three month suspension beginning January 17, 2022.

Sriranpong admitted improperly handling some or all of $72,703.04 in client funds in 22 instances where she either failed to document her clients’ consent to treat advance fee payments as her property upon receipt or failed to maintain and deposit funds into a pooled trust account. She also admitted that she did not maintain some accounting records required by the Law Society Rules.

The Law Society’s Discipline Committee Chair accepted a consent agreement between the Law Society and Sriranpong that proposed a three-month suspension. In accepting the proposal, the Chair considered that she did not have a prior professional conduct record, and that she had already completed some remedial course work.

For additional details, read the summary of the consent agreement.
