Description
In this course, we distinguish between international and domestic legal systems in defining a subject.
We discuss states as primary international legal subjects, and what circumstances are sufficient to bring a state into existence.
We then examine state succession and the many forms it can take, followed by the concept of self-determination.
Lastly, we explain how these concepts apply to international organizations, individuals, corporations, and non-governmental organizations.
