Description
In this course, we thoroughly discuss the ten general grounds of inadmissibility in immigration law, covering everything from security, to human or international rights violations, to misrepresentation, and non-compliance with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
We describe the circumstances in which a person will be inadmissible on each of the grounds, and provide case examples to explain the background and rationale behind the grounds.
We also discuss what might make an individual exempt, and how a person may become rehabilitated.
Lastly, we debate whether Canada is succeeding in balancing immigration law to gain benefits while protecting Canadians.
