Description
This course provides a breakdown of the requirements applicants are required to meet in order to successfully apply for permanent residence as a member of the economic classes, and the procedure for the application. We begin with a description of the economic classes, and the objectives of Canada in bringing skilled workers into the country. We then explain the eligibility criteria for applicants, including descriptions of the National Occupation Classification, language proficiency, and education. We also go through the points system and the application process, with information on the Express Entry Program, business immigrants, entrepreneurs, and caregivers. We conclude with a discussion of the shortcomings of Canada’s immigration programs.
