Description
Businesses considering when and how to deploy AI tools within their organization need a pragmatic approach — one that balances responsibly managing risk while maximizing potential value. At the same time, practitioners developing and implementing AI-focused controls need to respond to existing technology constituencies and the practical realities of operational change management. By drawing on real-world use cases and scenarios, participants will learn to evaluate AI solutions critically, assess potential risks under existing technology-neutral laws and incoming AI-specific legislation, and make informed decisions that align with strategic business goals.

The session will cover:

An overview of AI and generative AI – what makes them different from routine technology solutions from a governance perspective [5 minutes]
An overview of the AI risks that are currently top-of-mind for regulators, and where they may materialize [20 minutes]
An overview of incoming AI regulation, and their potential impact on the AI risk landscape [8 minutes]
Emerging hallmarks of responsible AI governance for addressing these risks [7 minutes]
Practical examples of AI use cases, and how to assess and mitigate their risk profiles [20 minutes]
