Description
PLI has offered a variety of programming concerning political and election law. In programs on Corporate Political Activities, Corporate Social Responsibility and the role of non-profit organizations in elections, lawyers have been presented with issues of corporate governance and ethics regarding the involvement of the private sector in elections. In the wake of the pandemic and 2020 elections, states continue to revise and change election laws in ways that impact election-day efforts by your clients. No matter where one situates in the political spectrum, it is incontrovertible that elections are under legal scrutiny as never before.

This Studio Briefing seeks to unpack election law issues that lawyers and their corporate and nonprofit may face in an election year. It includes a call to action for non-election lawyers to become involved in the democratic process by serving as poll workers or otherwise supporting election administration.
