CPD Registration

Apply to Become a CPD Provider

Thank you for your interest in having your course(s) accredited with the Law Society of British Columbia's Continuing Professional Development Program.

The Benchers have determined that the overall subject matter requirement for accreditation of courses must meet one of the following criteria:

  1. substantive law
  2. procedural law
  3. professional ethics
  4. practice management (including client care and relations)
  5. lawyering skills
  6. professional wellness

Accredited learning activities are not limited to subject matter dealing primarily with BC or Canadian law. Credit is available for subject matter related to the law of other provinces and countries.

The following activities will not be accredited:

  • topics relating to law firm marketing or profit maximization
  • activity designed for or targeted primarily at clients
  • pro bono activities
