Wendy John resigns as lay Bencher

Wendy John, appointed a lay Bencher in 1999 by the provincial Cabinet, has resigned from the position because of other personal and professional commitments. Ms. John brought a wealth of experience to the role of lay Bencher.

The Associate Regional Director General for Indian and Northern Affairs in B.C., she has also served as Chief of the Musqueam Nation and as Vice-Chief of the Assembly of First Nations, B.C. Region.

With the appointment of Jaynie Clark of Richmond and Dr. V. Setty Pendakur of Vancouver late last year, and with the continued service of Ann Howard, Marjorie Martin and Anita Olsen, is now one vacancy for lay Bencher.
