July 11: Bencher meeting
At their July 11 meeting, the Benchers received two notices of motion, regarding the proposed faculty of law at Trinity Western University. The motions will be discussed at the September 26 Bencher meeting. A legal opinion addressing certain issues arising from the special general meeting was also discussed at the meeting. Call for submissions
The Benchers are accepting written submissions from anyone wanting to provide input or information to assist them with their decisions. The deadline for submissions is September 3; information on the submission process and how to submit is available here.
June 10: Special general meeting
Members of the Law Society passed a resolution at a special general meeting directing the Benchers to declare that the proposed law school at Trinity Western University is not an approved faculty of law for the purposes of the Law Society’s admission program.
