Jeff Campbell, QC
Jeff Campbell, QC is a partner at Peck and Company. He was called to the bar in 1999 after articling at Bull, Housser and Tupper. Jeff has practised criminal law for 17 years, primarily representing persons and companies in criminal or quasi-criminal matters. He has also acted as Crown counsel in trials and appeals, and on behalf of counsel before the Law Society.
Elected a Bencher for 2016, Jeff is a member of the Credentials Committee, Access to Legal Services Advisory Committee and Rule of Law and Lawyer Independence Advisory Committee.
Jeff is actively involved in legal education and pro bono initiatives, including the UBC Criminal Law Clinic, where he supervises law students representing impoverished persons on a pro bono basis. He is a supervising counsel and one of the founding members of the UBC Innocence Project, an organization dedicated to investigating claims of wrongful conviction. He is also a Director of the Criminal Defence Advocacy Society, an organization involved in advocacy and law reform.
Jeff regularly contributes to legal education programs. He has authored numerous papers and spoken at programs offered by the Canadian Bar Association, Law Society of British Columbia, Federation of Law Societies, University of British Columbia, International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law and Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia.
