The following are resources that may be helpful in answering your enquiry. Please familiarize yourself with them before moving on.

In brief: While lawyers are always at liberty to make a good faith complaint about another lawyer, there are some situations in which a lawyers have a duty to report another lawyer (or themselves) to the Law Society, including situations in which a lawyer’s clients are likely to be materially prejudiced. If you are in doubt about whether a report should be made, you may wish to schedule a confidential call with a Practice Advisor to talk through your options.
