Client missing

The following are resources that may be helpful in answering your enquiry. Please familiarize yourself with them before moving on.

In brief: A lawyer may have a justifiable cause for withdrawal in circumstances indicating a loss of confidence, for example, if the lawyer is facing difficulty in obtaining adequate instructions from the client. Before withdrawing on this basis, think carefully about the efforts you have made to contact the client, and whether based on your previous interactions with the client if they truly understand how important it is to respond to you and the consequences if they do not. These are tough circumstances to navigate so please feel welcome to contact a Practice Advisor to discuss.
