Nickolaus Harold MacDonald Weiser has been disbarred from practicing law in BC for a second time after a Law Society hearing panel declared him ungovernable.
The hearing panel found Weiser failed to comply with a Practice Standards Committee Order within the 14-day deadline imposed. The panel found Weiser’s conduct illustrated culpable neglect for his duties as a lawyer.
Weiser’s professional conduct record shows a consistent pattern of noncompliance and disregard for conflict of interest rules. Between 2021 and 2023, he was administratively suspended several times. In July 2023, he received a three-month suspension for practicing while suspended and failing to cooperate with another investigation. In February 2024, he received an 8-month suspension for acting in conflicts of interest and failing to act with integrity. He was first declared ungovernable and disbarred
in March 2024.
In addition to being disbarred, Weiser was ordered to pay $6,717 in costs.
