Each year the Law Society awards gold medals to top graduating students at each of the province’s law faculties.
The medal is awarded to graduating law students from Thompson Rivers University, the University of Victoria and the University of British Columbia faculties of law who have achieved the highest cumulative grade point average over their respective three-year programs.
2023 Gold Medallists
Thompson Rivers University: Pardeep Birak received the gold medal for 2023. Law Society First Vice-President Jeevyn Dhaliwal, KC, pictured at left, attended the presentation ceremony.
University of Victoria: Emmaline English received the gold medal from Law Society Life Bencher Dean P.J. Lawton, KC.
University of British Columbia: Maddison Mayah Zapach received the gold medal from 2023 Law Society President Christopher McPherson, KC, pictured at right with Zapach and Dean Ngai Pindell.
