Surrey lawyer Jason Edward Harp suspended for conduct unbecoming the profession

Surrey lawyer Jason Edward Harp has admitted to conduct unbecoming the profession and agreed to a one-month suspension if and when he returns to practicing status with the Law Society.

Harp was charged with assault in February 2025 and pleaded guilty in March 2025. He was sentenced to a conditional discharge and 12 months of probation.

In accepting the consent agreement, the Law Society considered an Agreed Statement of Facts, a letter from Harp containing his admissions, and mitigating factors, including that Harp took immediate responsibility for his actions, cooperated with the Crown, and admitted that his actions were conduct unbecoming a lawyer.
