Survey on addressing discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment and bullying in BC's legal profession

The Law Society’s Bullying, Harassment, and Discrimination Task Force is conducting a survey to learn more about experiences of discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, and bullying within BC’s legal profession. We invite participation from the legal community, including legal professionals and individuals who work and interact with them in professional or work-related social contexts.

You can take part by completing a 15 to 20-minute online survey. Participation is anonymous, voluntary, and confidential — responses will not be linked to names or member IDs. You may withdraw at any time without giving a reason and without any consequences.

By sharing your experiences, you will help the Task Force:

  1. Understand the prevalence of these issues in the province,
  2. Explore barriers that make reporting difficult,
  3. Learn from what has and has not worked in reporting processes, and
  4. Help identify measures that could more effectively address these issues.

The survey will be open from October 8 until November 21, 2025. Check out the Engagement and Consultation page for full project details.
