Reminder: Nominations for 2026 Bencher By-elections close August 17

This is a reminder that the deadline for nominations of candidates for the 2026 Bencher By-Elections in the County of Vancouver (District 1) and the District of the Okanagan (District 6) must be received by the Law Society by 4:30 pm on Monday, August 17, 2026.

To submit a nomination, please complete the Candidate’s Information application form and the Nomination and Consent form; the latter must be signed by two nominators (who are eligible to vote in the respective district of the candidate they are nominating [District No.1 for Vancouver County and District No.6 for the District of the Okanagan] and who are members in good standing) and must contain the nominee’s consent to the nomination.
