Surrey lawyer Perpindervir Singh Patrola has agreed to pay a fine of $12,000 for professional misconduct.
Patrola admitted in a consent agreement that between 2016 and 2022, he failed to maintain sufficient funds in his firm’s trust account, identify and immediately eliminate trust shortages, and immediately report the trust shortages to the Law Society. He also failed to prepare monthly trust reconciliations between 2020 and 2022 within 30 days of the effective dates.
In accepting the consent agreement, the Chair of the Discipline Committee considered an Agreed Statement of Facts, a letter from Patrola which acknowledged his misconduct, and the outcomes in prior similar cases.
